The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
The Central Office of the Reserve Bank was initially established in Calcutta but was permanently moved to Mumbai in 1937. RBI Invites applications fo the post of Officers (Grade-B)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

As on 1.09.2011, Age must be,
21 to 30 years
Candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification,

upper age limit will be 31 and 33 years respectively)

EDUCATION
A First Class graduate with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade,
OR
A Second Class Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade,
OR
A Doctorate Degree with 50% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent grade,
OR
Chartered/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree,
OR
A Post Graduate Diploma in Management /MBA qualification from institutions recognized by Government of India/ University Grants Commission, with Graduation / Bachelor's Degree.

FEE FOR APPLICATION
For Other Candidates fee Rs. 100
No fee for SC/ST candidates.

To Be Paid using DD in favoring RBI, payable at GPO, Mumbai.
Candidates from Far-flung areas may pay by crossed Indian Postal Orders in favour of Reserve Bank of India, payable at GPO, Mumbai.
After payment, the online application has to be made at Bank website and details has to be filled & submitted properly.
The both process are available online or offline, the candidate can opt. best suitable.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of the candidates shall be on the basis of written test and interview. Written test will be of Objective Type Consisting of:-
For Officer Scale II (Post Code 1):-

Reasoning,
Quantitative aptitude
data Interpretation,
Financial Awareness
General English.
Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 150 minutes for 200 questions.

Reasoning,
Numerical Ability,
General awareness,
General English.

Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 150 minutes for 200 questions.

For Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant (Post Code 2 & 3):-

Reasoning,
Numerical Ability,
General awareness,
General English.
Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 180 minutes for 200 questions.

The Payment of Challan can be done at any branch of Syndicate bank across India before Oct 7.

The Offline Process
Apply Offline by below Procedure:-
For applying in offline mode, the candidates must fill this Application form published in this advertisement. This application form duly filled with all personal and fee related details should be sent to following address(Ordinary post Only) :-

"The General Manager, Reserve Bank of India Services Board, Post Bag No. 14501, Mumbai Central Post Office, Mumbai-400008".

The cover should be super scribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF OFFICERS IN GRADE B'(GENERAL)-(DR)".

**Please note that the Candidates needs to send the system generated print out (hard copy) of the ON-LINE Application to the Reserve Bank of India in case of Online Mode application(Of course, offline mode application too has to be sent!). Without reception of the same till October 3- 2011 on the same address, the application will be rejected!! The DD/IPO Should be sent with application!
