1. How to prepare English section of Banks/IBPS Exam

Preparation for English section in competitive exams like banks and IBPS CWE is crucial for getting good marks in overall exam.

Since there is sectional cutoff for each section, therefore clearing English section is must for clearing overall exam. Here we are providing you some useful tips which will help you during your preparation of English section.

This section is having more weightage than other section because GD and interview round will also be in English language, having good command on English will improve your performance in GD and interview rounds as well.

2. Importance of grammar and tenses-

Clear concepts in grammar and tenses will make half way in cracking English section. Many questions in English section are based on basic concepts of grammar and tenses. Question on paragraph jumbling, sentence correction, fill ups, correct usage of verbs and verb correction are majorly based on the knowledge of grammar and tenses.

3. How to prepare for reading comprehension
Solving Reading comprehension section require some tricks and techniques, since the exam has to be completed under time pressure and includes negative marking also.

Therefore the candidates have to do the right questions with in the given time. Increase your reading speed by reading lot of stuff. Before reading the comprehension passages read the question once, then it will be easy to solve the questions and give right answers.

4. Vocabulary building tips
 Make a separate notebook for writing words and their meaning along with some memorable examples. Use some mnemonic tricks to learn new words. Use new words in making sentences and use them in your day to day conversation.

5. Reading English newspaper and magazines
Reading English newspaper daily will benefit you in many ways. Firstly it will make you aware about what is happening around the world and what are the current issues going on in the country.

This will increase your general knowledge and help you in preparing your general knowledge section. Secondly you will get to know about new words and their usage, in this way your vocabulary will be building up gradually.

Thirdly as you read any stuff you get to know different grammar and tenses rules and their usage. And last but not the least your reading abilities will improve which helps you in cracking reading comprehension of English section.
