Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year, full-time Post
Graduate Programme imparted by various universities across India. Information. Technology is the powerful combination of computer and telecommunication technologies to store, analyse, retrieve and transmit textual, numeric, graphic, audio and video data.
| MCA entrance exams of various universities are held any time between January-June. The nature of the entrance exam is objective and sometimes short answer type questions are also included in the test. Some institutes also have Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning and General Knowledge in their test syllabus apart from the common syllabus of mathematics, statistic and computer knowledge. |
The major objective of MCA program is to train the students for designing various information system for various organisations. India is now a front runner in the global IT map. We have come a long way since the introduction of computers in the 1960s and are a most important player in the field. Nearly all central and deemed universities are now conducting their own MCA.Entrance Examinations, while for every state there will be state level common entrance admission test. |
Syllabus For MCA Entrance Exam.
1) Mathematics- Algebra, Trigonometry, Differential Equation, Geometry, Analytical Plane Geometry, Analytical Solid Geometry, Mechanics, Statistics and Probability, Numerical Analysis and linear Programming.
2) Reasoning- Alphabet Test, Dissimilar Test, Analogy Test, Ordering, Syllogism, Questions based on Passage and Statement-Conclusion questions.
