COMEDK UGET Medical Entrance Exam

"Consortium Of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka" is commonly known as COMEDK is the governing body responsible for conducting the COMED-K Undergraduate Entrance Exam. It is the entrance exam for various medical, dental and engineering under graduate programmes known as COMEDK UGET , for eligible aspirants want to take admission to MBBS, BDS and BE. The entrance exam is being conducted on the basis of merit.

Courses Offered - COMEDK UGET

Following courses are offered by DUMET at Undergraduate and Post Graduate level for admission to different programs.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery
B.E - Bachelor of Engineering
B.Arch - Bachelor of Architecture

Eligibility for COMEDK UGET

The student must meet the following eligibility criteria before submission of his/her application form. The candidates who are not meeting the eligibility criteria are not allowed to take admission in the respective colleges institues under DUMET.

MBBS
The aspirants must cleared their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks in these subjects: physics, chemistry and mathematics along with English as a compulsory subject during their academic.

BDS
The students must have cleared their 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks with the subjects like physics, chemistry and biology.

B.E
The students must cleared their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent exam with minimum of 45% marks in the subjects such as physics, chemistry and mathematics (along with Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of Chemistry) with English as a compulsory subject.

EXAM PATTERN - COMEDK UGET

The students must follows the following exam pattern to clear DUMET. The candidate should also practice the previous year papers to become familier with exam pattern and time duration.

Physics and Chemistry combined paper is conducted in the morning, followed by a combined paper of Mathematics and Biology.
There is no negative marking for a wrong answer attempted by the candidate.
For MBBS and BDS, the candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in the entrance test (PCB).
For the SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance test (PCB) is sufficient for MBBS.
