PMET Medical Entrance Exam

Punjab Medical Entrance Test is approved by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot through Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. PMET is a common entrance exam which is for taking admission into the various programs such as MBBS, BDS and BAMS into the different government and private recognized medical colleges/institutes under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot in Punjab. MBBS in Christian Medical College and Ludhiana and BSc Nursing in College of Nursing, Ludhiana follow separate rules for the admission.

PMET - Application Procedure

Courses Offered - PMET

Following courses are offered by PMET at Undergraduate and Post Graduate level for admission to different programs.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery
BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery
BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery
BHMS - Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery

Eligibility - PMET

The student must meet the following eligibility criteria before submission of his/her application form. The candidates who are not meeting the eligibility criteria are not allowed to take admission in the respective colleges institues under PMET.

MBBS, BDS, BAMS

The aspirants must cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized University. The candidate must have attained 17 years of age and must be permanent resident of the state of Punjab.

BHMS

The students must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with 40% (for SC/ BC 33%) marks in average with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized University.

Exam Pattern - PMET

PMET test paper consists of objective type multiple-choice questions.
Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
There is the system of negative marking for a wrong answer attempted by the candidate.

The Syllabus for PMET for different subjects are given below.Students are adviced to work on exam topics according to topic importance and weightage in exam.

PMET (Punjab Medical Entrance Test) entrance test paper comprises of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The standard of the questions is of the 10+2 level followed by various boards across India.
