Screenplay can be defined as a written document that consists of the story of a film or a television program. Through screenplay, one can describe every visual and behavioral ingredient that is required to justify a story.
All the work of a director, cast, editor and production team revolves around the screenplay or the script. Therefore, script should be written in comprehensive and clear manner by the scriptwriter, so that every member of the team (in a film or a television program) can get an idea of the story.
There are two important components of writing a screenplay - action and dialogue. Action is written in present tense, where as dialogues are written for the characters of the film/television's serial/tele-film.
So, screenplay or scriptwriting depends on the mind and judgment of a scriptwriter. Screenplay writing has emerged as a beneficial job, because success of a motion picture largely lies in its screen play.
Eligibility Screenplay Writing
Many institutes in India offering the courses for screenplay writing, at the graduate and postgraduate levels. In such a course, the students are generally educated layout of screenplay, development of idea/planning of the stories, creation of characters etc. Candidates must have passed in 10+2 examination from any recognized Board.
