Ever since the beginning, the department has grown steadily and expanded its gamut of academic activities and interactions with business and industry. About MBM Calcutta Programme OfferedMBM - Master of Business Management -Masters in Business Management is the main professional degree awarded in this University Department since 1976. MBM is a state sponsored programme with an annual tuition fee of less than 20,000 rupees (400 USD) and duly recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The duration of this programme is two years (full time) with an intake capacity of 33 students. For the class entering in 2009, the acceptance rate into MBM programme was 24%. The class has a CAT percentile range of 65-90, age range of 21-27 years, 50% of the class are women, 25% students have work experience of one year or more, 20% students have engineering background, 25% students have BCom/MCom background and 10% students have an undergraduate management degree. Each academic year is subdivided into 2 semesters. The classes are held regularly from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. MHRM - Master of Human Resource Management - MHRM (MHROM) Masters in Human Resource Management is a two year full time programme specializing in Human Resource Management.
